SUBJECTS
Music: Music class includes the fun and active Boomwhackers, long plastic tubes each with their own pitch. Students need to work together to create music! They also play the bells, similar to the xylophone. This teaches basic piano skills and is simple enough for a beginner, but can be challenging even for an expert musician.
Art: Art class is not just a craft class! Students love learning art history with Meet the Masters curriculum. following a four-week lesson plan, students learn about a famous artist, his/her methods, painting and pieces the artist created, and finally are able to use the artist's techniques to make a masterpiece of their own!
Physical Education: Physical Education is more than playing games in the gym. we focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, knowledge of the muscles of the body, exercises to do at home, and important skills like team work, cooperation, and perseverance.
Rotating Specials: Rotating Specials change monthly. Classes may include subjects like: cooking, history, STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), hair braiding, sign language, photography, creative writing, Spanish, drawing, and more!
