Group Fitness Classes & Wellness Center
YMCA Group Fitness Programs bring together people of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels in a fun, supportive environment where they move, groove, and sweat their way toward better well-being.
Group Fitness, including strength and conditioning, spin, yoga, pilates, Zumba, HIIT, TRX, Pound Fit, boxing & kickboxing classes and more - is one of many ways the Y supports members in achieving their health and wellness goals. Experienced and certified instructors develop and lead the classes that deliver a fun and effective exercise experience in a supportive group setting. Each has been professionally designed, and all programs evolve with the latest trends in group exercise to keep you motivated and moving!

The Wellness Center at the Oswego YMCA includes a variety of cardio machines, Life Fitness, Hammer Strength and Cybex strength training equipment, free weights, a variety of benches, and a dedicated area for CrossFit workouts that includes Concept 3 rowers, air bikes, rig & racks, boxes, bells, ropes and more! In addition, we offer a full boxing/kickboxing gym with a variety of bags and circuit equipment for your use. Whatever your need, you can achieve a complete workout at the Oswego YMCA Wellness Center blending strength, flexibility, and endurance.

About Smart Start
Smart Start is a free program for all new and current members that provides you with an easy-to-follow wellness plan and the support needed to achieve your goals. Smart Start includes up to three one-on-one sessions with our Health & Wellness staff who will help you choose the best path for your wellness journey. This personalized program helps you set fitness, wellness, and lifestyle goals and supports you as you work toward personal success. Smart Start will include goal setting, an equipment orientation, an introduction to group exercise classes, and an introduction to Y programs that will help you and your family live more balanced, fun and active lives.
What to Expect
You have the opportunity for 3 sessions with a Health & Wellness team member who will help you develop a personal wellness plan and check in with you along the way.

The Oswego YMCA's Certified Personal Trainer's mission is to improve your health and change the way you think and feel about fitness. Training is available during business hours to Oswego YMCA members. Sessions are conducted in the Oswego YMCA or can be combined with additional activities outside of the Wellness center.
When you train with a Certified Personal Trainer at the Y, you are making a commitment to a change in lifestyle. You will receive a personally designed program and the motivation & encouragement you need to succeed!
Your Personal Training package will include a consultation, fitness assessment and program design.

Includes a 30-minute consultation and (3) one hour training sessions. One time use.
