Oswego Boxing Club at the Oswego YMCA
The fundamentals of boxing can make a lasting impression on personal character and the drive for excellence. As a part of the Oswego YMCA, the Oswego Boxing Club is more than just a boxing club, we are a family. We emphasize the basic principles of focus, hard work and self-discipline as the foundation to all of our programs. Our mission is to empower our members to remain strong in the face of adversity, to recognize past failures as a road map to success and to strengthen our community by uplifting others. Whether you are looking to tone up with a cardio boxing class, train competitively or enroll in a youth boxing program, the Oswego Boxing Club at the Oswego YMCA would like to welcome you to the family. We train men, women, and children ages 8 and up with classes for beginner to advanced level boxers.
The Oswego Boxing Club at the Y MISSION
Our mission is to maintain a positive and healthy environment for the youth of our city. Our program helps kids develop socially and fundamentally while combating childhood obesity. Zero tolerance for bullying encourages kids to have patience and self-control while respecting people for their differences. The sweet science of boxing is special and unique. It requires hard work and dedication that applies to all situations in life. We see value in all kids and strive to help them contribute to society in a positive manner. Changing lives one punch at a time.
