The Annual Oswego YMCA Harborfest 5k Run/Walk and 10k Run - Families and friends celebrate the July Harborfest weekend with this popular annual event. The routes wind through scenic Oswego waterfronts, festival venues and the SUNY Oswego campus welcoming nearly 400.
The Annual Oswego Dragon Boat Festival - Teams of 16-20 paddlers will race authentic 40’ Hong-Kong style dragon boats in the Oswego Harbor channel behind the park. Spectators can enjoy this FREE event. There is a registration fee for teams. The event kick-off will take place Friday, August 7th at 5pm and will include the Heroes Challenge races for State & Local police, fire, EMS personnel and active military. There will be live music & a BBQ. Event racing day includes a day of racing, games & food vendors.

Skate the Banks – an outdoor skateboarding event in August for beginners through experts, testing skills and the sport of skateboarding. All proceeds go to the Oswego YMCA skatepark which provides and alternative location for kids to participate in a healthy, active lifestyle.
The Scarecrow Scramble- Join us during Oswego's Pumpkin Fest in Washington Square Park for the 2nd Annual Scarecrow Scramble! 2 person tethered teams will compete on this fun street relay for the Golden Pumpkin! $10 per team Ages 10 & up.
The Annual Reindeer Run – Runners and walkers celebrate the season by dressing in festive holiday wear for this fun 5k walk & run jingling all the way for a fun, family-oriented event which follows with a specialty coffee and hot chocolate bar at the Y.
Healthy Kids Day – Oswego YMCA holds a free community event to inspire more kids to keep their minds and bodies active at the annual YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day ®, the Y’s national initiative to improve health and well-being for kids and families. Healthy Kids Day is an opportunity to ignite children’s imaginations so that they can imagine what they’ll accomplish this summer. The two-hour event features activities such as games, arts and crafts, STEM challenges, and an huge inflatable obstacle course to motivate and teach families how to develop and maintain healthy routines at home throughout the summer months
